Hours and Attendance
Office Hours: 7:15 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.
Teacher workday: 7:15 a.m.- 3:15 p.m.
7:30 a.m. - Front Doors and Bus Doors unlock. Option Breakfast begins.
7:45 a.m. - Students need to be in their classrooms
2:15 a.m. - KG-5th grade students are dismissed (pickup time)
Reporting an Absence

Call attendance line 336-8875 then “3” to leave a recorded message

Email lesterattendance@isd709.org (the office & nurse will both see these emails)

Please list any specific symptoms, as well as positive for COVID cases.

Teachers may have a preferred way for you to report an absence to them.

If we do not hear why a student is absent, an automated phone call and an email message will be sent out at some point between 8:30-9:00am. This is for safety reasons.
Late/Tardy

Students need to be in the classrooms by 7:45 a.m.

After so many tardies, unexcused or excessive absences, attendance letters will be mailed out.

If you have the cell phone app and your child is late, please note you will receive two attendance emails. We need to first mark him/her absent and then check them in at their arrival time.
Guidelines for Keeping a Student Home

Has a fever of 100 or higher. Students need to be fever-free for 24 hours without the aid of fever-reducing medication before returning to school

Vomiting or diarrhea within the last 24 hours. Students should remain at home for 24 hours after vomiting or diarrhea has stopped.

Persistent cough
-
Has an open or draining skin sore(s) that cannot be covered by a bandage or clothing.
